AeroPress - The Original - incl. 100 filters
AeroPress – The Original, incl. 100 filters
Hardly any other brewing tool has such a cult status as the AeroPress . The AeroPress's variation options are enormous and the results are excellent. The AeroPress is easy to use and offers a steep learning curve thanks to the many experimental options.
Advantages of the AeroPress
You can completely determine the contact time between water and coffee yourself. Other important influencing factors such as the temperature, the pressure - with which you ultimately press the water through the coffee - the movement in the AeroPress and the choice of filter can also be determined individually.

Felix's master recipe – the AeroPress brewing recipe
We love the AeroPress and Felix especially does. In 2015, Felix was Swiss AeroPress Champion and represented Switzerland at the World Championships in Dublin and shares his recipe:
1. Ingredients:
- 25 g coffee - relatively coarse grind (see example in the video below)
- 100 ml water (97 °C)
2. Preparation:
- Add water in 20 seconds.
- Stir the water evenly for 20 seconds.
- Unscrew the filter and let air out (should be done in 20 seconds).
- After a total of 60 seconds, turn the AeroPress.
- Press for 30 seconds until 1:30 min.
- Then add 100 g of water (bypass).
This AeroPress recipe with the bypass method has already brewed many good cups. Felix Hohlmann was the Swiss AeroPress champion in 2016 with it. The recipe was also used successfully at the German AeroPress Championships with slight modifications. The Swiss filter coffee champion Emi Fukahori and later world champion also brewed with the bypass method in the Compulsory Service of the Brewers Cup in 2018.
What is the bypass method?
The bypass method is particularly useful when coffee tends to be too bitter when brewed "normally". When you use the bypass method, you don't force all of the water past the coffee, which means less is released. Instead, you add some of the water to the concentrate after brewing.
