Note: Clean Steam is not suitable for cleaning the brewing group; we recommend Clean Powder for this.

How do I clean my steam lance?

1. Prepare the steam wand: Remove the front part of the steam wand and place it in a milk jug.

2. Add cleaning agent: Fill the jug with 300 ml of hot water and 10 ml of Clean Steam.

3. Soaking: Make sure that the rubber of the machine does not get into the water. Let the steam wand soak for about 10 minutes.

4. Wipe: Wipe off any debris, reassemble the steam wand and steam it thoroughly.

Now nothing stands in the way of perfect, clean milk foam. Alternatively, clean the machine with Clean Steam following the coffee machine manufacturer's instructions.

Why do we sell milk lance cleaners - Clean Steam?

An important note: If you wipe down and steam out your steam wand thoroughly after each use, you may not need an additional cleaner such as Clean Steam.

Clean Steam is specifically designed to remove protein residues and is not suitable for removing fat. Protein residues can remain on milk lances or milk frothing systems, especially on valves. An example is the Slayer in our cafe at the train station in Basel , where regular cleaning is required.
