Why did we get involved in Santa Rita?
We have been the proud co-owners of the small coffee farm Finca Santa Rita since 2017. We run the finca together with Claudia Lovo and Tim Willems from Brida Azul.
Our focus as a company is on conveying comprehensive coffee knowledge, from the plant to the cup. We have extensive expertise in the areas of green coffee purchasing, roasting and catering and home use. Our expertise in agronomy and cultivation results from many years of experience, enriched by travel, continuous training and comprehensive specialist literature. Since Santa Rita we can now report first hand about agronomy and cultivation.
Since our founding, our goal has been to create a connection among coffee makers across the entire coffee value chain. We promote exchange across the entire coffee value chain and even more so with Santa Rita. Our commitment aims to ensure the stability of this small finca and contribute to its sustainable development.
What is our goal with Santa Rita?
Our goal with Finca Santa Rita is primarily to learn. In addition, to produce coffee for the diverse requirements and markets. The farm already produced various qualities in the range of 80-88 points.
We value ecological work to ensure a healthy cycle for soils and flora and fauna. Secure jobs, appropriate wages and good conditions for employees and temporary workers are important to us.
The farm is intended to serve as a platform to promote exchange between producers, roasters and baristas. Research with experts, such as those from the ZHAW, aims to make knowledge accessible to the public.
