Why do we sell the Timemore C3?
The Timemore C3 is a strong overall package. It covers fine grinds for espresso as well as coarser grinds for filter coffee and all other preparation methods. What we enjoy is the grinding speed of this grinder. The beans are ground for a double espresso in under a minute. The foldable handle also eliminates the need to store the handle and grinder separately.
Setting up the C3 hand mill from Timemore
- First, the mill must be unscrewed.
- Now the click wheel is set to "0" by turning the click wheel clockwise until it can't go any further.
- The click wheel is then turned up again counterclockwise with the required number of clicks in order to set the correct grinding level for the desired type of preparation.
- In our test we achieved a good result for filter coffee at 18 clicks and for espresso at 8.5 clicks.
- When determining the grinding level, we recommend briefly writing down the tested settings in order to achieve a good result more quickly.
ATTENTION: Do not operate the hand mill in click levels 0-5, otherwise the grinder can wear out more quickly.

What to do if there is static charge in the regrind container?
If there is static charge in the ground container or if ground coffee gets stuck on the upper part of the grinder, we have a solution. If, after grinding, you loosen the bean container by just half a turn and tap it twice with your hand from below, the coffee will detach from the upper part of the grinder and the powder will lie cleanly in the container.

Click setting too coarse or too fine?
Can't find the right click setting for your coffee and your desired recipe because one click level is too fine, but the next is too coarse? There are two solutions here.
1. working with half a click. To do this, you set the click wheel between two click levels with a little sensitivity. We reliably apply this in our German academy.
2. you choose a grind that is a little too coarse. You increase the amount of coffee by 0.5-1g and adjust your extraction ratio accordingly.
