Home Barista - Level 1: Course Description
The coffee culture at home is the focus of the Home Barista course. Using their own espresso machine or one provided by us, course participants learn how to perfectly adjust the coffee grinder, the right drink ratio and the extraction of fine espresso.
An introduction to frothing milk for latte art on a cappuccino and the Americano will be covered. The practical units are supplemented by various theory blocks. The history of coffee, processing processes in the country of origin and the various names on coffee packaging will be examined. Which coffee is actually good and which does whom like it?
The tongue is not neglected either: coffees from all over the world are tasted and evaluated in terms of their quality and diversity.
Important information: of course we will check the offset setting (temperature setting) of your portafilter machine with you in this course and adjust it if possible.
What previous knowledge do I need for Home Barista Level 1?
