Why do we sell the AeroPress Stainless Steel Reusable Filter? 

We really like that this filter can be used permanently, which helps protect the environment. 

It is also very practical for use on the go, as you don't need to carry paper filters in your luggage. Even getting caught in a downpour during a backpacking trip won't cause you any headaches about whether your filters have stayed dry.

The metal filter is also occasionally used specifically at championships to achieve a different flavor profile. This is usually slightly more full-bodied and less clear. 

As an alternative to the metal filter, AeroPress paper replacement filters can be used.
