We like that this filter can be used permanently, thus protecting the environment.

Furthermore, it is very practical for on the go, as you don't have to carry paper filters in your luggage. Even a downpour during a backpacking trip won't cause headaches about whether the filters stayed dry.

In championships, the metal filter is also occasionally used specifically to achieve a different flavor profile. This is then usually a bit fuller-bodied and not as clear.

Alternatively to the metal filter, AeroPress paper replacement filters can be used.
