Three Swiss entrepreneurs lease 770 hectares of land in Zambia and are now growing coffee. Is it megalomania?
What kind of people take on a project like this?
Where does the desire to do something that no one has done before come from?
And why do they do it?
I spoke with Luca and Fridolin, two of the three managing directors. Luca visited me in my studio in Basel, and Fridolin joined us from Zambia.
This podcast consists of three parts:
- First, Luca and I talk about the motivation behind starting the Mt Sunzu project.
- Then we check in with Fridolin to see how they are implementing it technically.
- Finally, we hear from Luca again as he explains what kind of coffee they are actually producing and who might be interested in buying it.
