As coffee makers, we have had our own bakery since summer 2024. We handcraft a variety of sweet and savory pastries at our location on Oetlingerstrasse in Basel.
We use carefully selected regional ingredients for our products. For example, our Demeter-certified flour comes from the Aebihof farm in Blauen. Our creations are constantly changing to promote seasonality, creativity, and openness.

Why breadmakers?
We're often asked: Why is the name spelled with a double O? The reason is that Natasha comes from Holland, where they spell 'bread' as 'Brood'. Combined with the German language, you get the word 'Broot'. Just like we pronounce it in Switzerland.

Café spring
Opened in 2013, Café Frühling is a Swiss pioneer among third-wave coffee shops. Frühling was the first café to feature freshly brewed filter coffee as a central part of the menu. In addition to a strong focus on coffee, Frühling offers an all-day breakfast menu. This approach earned us first place in the "Coffee & Bistro" category of the "Best of Swiss Gastro" award in 2015.
