Home Barista Level 2 - Course Description
We'll delve deep into the coffee grounds right from the start. This is definitely not a beginner's course, but rather designed for the home barista who already has some experience and knowledge in grinder adjustment and extraction.
What temperature does each coffee need, how much coffee to how much water, and how long does it take to extract? These topics will be thoroughly reviewed and explored. Each participant will develop the perfect brewing recipe for a variety of coffees.
Together we get the best out of every coffee.
The sensory aspects of coffee are also not neglected. We'll taste a wide variety of qualities to understand what constitutes high-quality coffee. We'll also take a look at various processing methods, such as semi-washed, anaerobic fermentation, and honey, both in theory and practice.
Of course, latte art isn't neglected either. We'll work on the perfect milk foam and try not only to pour hearts, but also to create tulips and other designs.
You are also welcome to bring your own machine to this course. We recommend doing so for this course, so you can put your new knowledge into practice right away with your own equipment.
Important information: Of course, we will check the offset setting (temperature setting) of your portafilter machine with you in this course and adjust it if possible.
What previous knowledge do I need for Home Barista Level 2?
The course is aimed at the ambitious home barista who wants to get the best out of every coffee. Previous experience from a home barista course and an understanding of brewing recipes are required.
