Swiss Coffee Festival - The Coffee Fair

Swiss Coffee Festival - Die Kaffeemesse

The third Swiss Coffee Festival will take place in Zurich from September 3rd to 5th, 2021. These will be coffee-focused days in Zurich. Following the first two successful editions in 2019 and 2020, each of which attracted around 5,000 visitors, the third edition is now underway.

"Simply even better than the first one," says Michel Aeschbacher, describing his ambitions for the coming year. The venue will once again be Hall 622 in Oerlikon. Last year's festival attracted not only visitors from all over Switzerland and abroad, but also numerous media representatives (watch the video interview with Michel Aeschbacher and Kevin Mohler).

Numerous specialty coffee roasters are represented, as are manufacturers of espresso machines for both the home and the restaurant trade. And you can find out everything else you need to know here.

Will the Swiss Coffee Festival 2021 take place?

Yes, after two postponements, the Swiss Coffee Festival will take place from September 3rd to 5th in Zurich-Oerlikon in Hall 622. A safety plan will ensure safe operation while still allowing us to finally meet again. Details will follow, and more information about the festival will be available here in the future.

    What are the opening hours?

For the first time, the festival will run over three days, from Friday, September 3rd to Sunday, September 5th. More days also mean more activities and opportunities. And while the decision to hold the festival over three days was made before COVID due to the full and successful first two editions, this now allows for a more even flow of visitors.

For example, Miro, Henauer, Stoll, Black & Blaze, Kafischmitte and Adrianos, Atinkana, El Impossible, Kaffeerösterei 13/15, Ojo de Café, Rast Kaffee, Rösterei Adelboden—to name just a few of the roasteries represented.

Two to three coffee presentations will be held daily on the main stage. In addition, numerous green coffee traders and coffee producers will introduce themselves and serve their coffees for tasting.

    Are the coffee makers represented?

Absolutely. Right at the entrance on the right. We'll all be there in rotating groups throughout the weekend, having a booth and participating in various activities. Michel is in charge of organizing the Swiss Coffee Festival and is on the go coordinating duties. Dario and David are competing as a team in the Coffee Challenge.
