Timemore Black Mirror Nano espresso scale
Timemore Black Mirror Nano espresso scale
An espresso scale from Timemore.
Small, high-quality, and stylish. A great helper for espresso preparation.
Product features of the Black Mirror Nano
- Espresso scale with 3 different modes:
- Regular Mode : manual taring and manual start of the timer function - our recommendation for preparing espresso.
- Pour-over Timing Mode : After pressing the button on the front right, a 3-second countdown begins, followed by automatic taring. As soon as you pour water from the kettle onto the ground coffee, the timer starts automatically.
- Espresso mode (Espresso Timer Mode): After placing a cup on the scale, the scale automatically tares. The timer begins as soon as the first drop lands in the cup. After removing the cup, the timer stops automatically, and the weight remains visible. This mode does not support the process we use to prepare espresso , as the timer does not start when the brew begins, but rather when the first drop lands in the cup. We recommend the Regular mode for espresso .
- The modes are changed by pressing the button on the front left three times. The order is: regular mode, filter mode, espresso mode.
- Additionally, you can measure the flow rate using the "Flow Rate" button on the left side (with water drop symbol).
- The scale has a built-in battery. It can be charged using the included USB Type-C cable.
- Maximum weight: 2kg
- Physical ON/OFF switch.
- The cover is made of silicone, and this mat is dishwasher-safe. The scale itself, of course, is not dishwasher-safe.
- Only the surface of the scale is waterproof . The charging port is NOT waterproof.
- Rapid temperature fluctuations in the room and in the immediate vicinity (e.g. the heated coffee machine) of the scale should also be avoided, as otherwise there is a high risk that the measurement result will not correspond to the actual value.
- If the timer is not running, the scale will automatically turn off after three minutes.
- The beep can be deactivated by pressing the timer button (front left) for 5 seconds.

Why do we sell the Timemore Black Mirror Nano
The Timemore Black Mirror Nano is a sensible addition to our range of scales. We already offer a solid espresso scale with a timer function and the Timemore Black Mirror Basic 2, which is more suited for brewing filter coffee. The Timemore Nano is a high-quality espresso scale with excellent workmanship, as is typical of Timemore. We were also impressed by its features and its usability directly on a portafilter machine.
If you only make filter coffee, we would recommend the Timemore Black Mirror Basic 2, as the functions are completely sufficient and the footprint is larger.
If you are looking for a simpler scale, the espresso scale with timer is a good choice.
