Dear Kaficionados and Kaficionadas,
We invite you to our open day at our House of Coffee in Basel on May 28, 2022.
From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., a varied program with all sorts of activities awaits you. We'll take you on a tour of our roastery, taste various coffees together, and open the Home Barista Bar with a variety of espresso machines for you to try out.
We will be on-site as a team, giving lectures about the world of coffee and practicing latte art with you in mini-training sessions.
Location: Güterstrasse 140, 200 meters from the SBB train station.
When: May 28 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Program of the day
Roasting sessions of 30 minutes at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30 pm
Latte Art Session (30 minutes) at 4 pm and 6:30 pm
Keynote speeches:
2:00 PM - "Goals and Activities of Coffee Makers" with Benjamin
3:00 PM - "Somaho Coffee from Rwanda" with Vania
4.30 pm - "How roasteries are changing the world" with Philipp
6:00 PM - "Which espresso machine is right for me?" with Michel
What else happens?
We are on site as a coffee-making team and look forward to many conversations, seeing old faces again and meeting new ones for the first time.
Our shop team opens its doors and is on site with all kinds of materials.
Numerous home espresso machines are available and can be tried out by Michel and his team.
Benjamin is waiting for you at the Brew Station with a cupping competition. You can win an Ascaso Steel Duo PID, a BWT filter set, and a Timemore hand grinder.
We're setting up small food bikes and a bar in the courtyard.
