Coffee knowledge - from cultivation to the cup
This site is a platform for coffee knowledge. We write articles, show videos and discuss coffee topics in our podcast. This site also links to our YouTube channel and our Swiss website.
As coffee makers, we run the Santa Rita coffee farm in Nicaragua, our roastery in Basel, two cafés, two coffee schools and also our location in Dinslaken. We share the knowledge we collect along the coffee chain on this page.
Our team includes three certified Q-Graders (Robusta and Arabica): Benjamin Hohlmann, Philipp Schallberger and Michel Aeschbacher. We have also gained experience at numerous coffee championships. Philipp was Swiss Barista Champion twice. Benjamin is German Cup Tasting Champion and Swiss Filter Coffee Champion. Felix Hohlmann was Vice Roasting Master and Aeropress Champion. Michel Aeschbacher was Barista Vice Champion in Switzerland.
