Our toolbox
Water diversity

Coffee consists of between 90 and 99% water. We filter it in five different ways, allowing us to simulate many different types of water.

With our partner BWT, we not only filter the perfect water for espresso and filter coffee, but also point out which waters don't taste good.

Espresso precision

All commercial portafilter machines are equipped with dual or multi-boilers and deliver absolute temperature precision.

With our machines we can demonstrate not only the effect of temperature but also of pressure on extraction.

Cupping Lab

Our cupping area is equipped for professional coffee tastings by sensory experts. With three certified Q-graders, we are always up to date and calibrated.

Filter coffee methods

Over 20 different filter coffee methods complete our brewing bar. It's an experimental space for filter coffee courses and Brewers Cup championships.

3x refractometers

An important tool for checking coffee quality. We even dedicated a whole blog post to the refractometer.

Various mills

Our academies are equipped with modern electric grinders, both single-dosing grinders and grinders with traditional hoppers.
