This natural coffee from the Bumbogo Washing Station in Rwanda's Gakenke District reminds us of blossom honey, mandarin orange, and caramel. Its creamy texture puts us on cloud nine. A complex espresso and the perfect symbiosis with cow's milk and oat milk.

Why does Sofia's Choice taste the way it does?
The Bumbogo Washing Station is one of the highest in Rwanda. The coffee plants grow at 1650–2200 meters above sea level and benefit from optimal temperatures between 16°C and 30°C.
After the manual harvest, a meticulous sorting process follows, resulting in, among other things, the coffee's clear aromas, excellent balance, and incredibly creamy texture. The cherries are then dried on the typical African Beds for approximately 40 days until the optimal moisture content is reached.
Why did we buy Sofia's Choice?
An espresso for a memorable cappuccino – that was Sofia's wish. Sometimes, coffees with fruity aromas struggle to achieve a balanced and characterful symbiosis with cow's milk, and especially with oat milk. What our gold medalist Sofia discovered and how she roasted the coffee elicited countless "mmms" from our team. A natural from the Red Bourbon variety, which reminds us of tangerines, blossom honey, and caramel, and whose creamy texture puts us on cloud nine. A coffee from the Bumbongo Washing Station in Rwanda, complex as an espresso and perfect for the beloved milk drink.
How do we roast this coffee?
We finish roasting the coffee in 12:30 minutes. With a slightly longer development time of 12.6% and a shorter roast, we emphasize the inherent qualities of the coffee: plenty of fruit and a dense body. After 9 minutes, we gradually reduce the gas.
